SharePoint Install Fails with Error

description

The language pack is not supported by your system.

Also if you run from the Content Installer, it aborts prematurely when a reboot is needed.

  1. Login as SPAdmin as Installation account don't use FARM Account for installation
  2. Don't run Setup.exe You need to run Setup.cmd and run the install software pre-requisites. This may require a couple of reboots
This is a SharePoint Installation Issue and not part of the installation script

I'm in the same situation.

Tried a couple fixes without success:

Downloaded the English language installer pack and dropped it into the two directories with "place language pack here". Tried via the Content Package Tool as well as by extracting the files (dropping the language installer) and running the command via powershell.

I'll keep at it.

I seemed to have progressed beyond the error.

1) made sure I was logged in as SPFarm
2) used one of my licensed SharePoint installs instead of a trial
3) right-click and ran setup.exe as Administrator
4) cleared the config now checkbox post install
5) used the config package installer to run the config
